St. Charles, MO, 10/16/12 — National Cart Co. is pleased to announce the joining of Jenna Unnerstall to the position of Marketing Manager and Nick Unnerstall to the position of Regional Account Manager. Nick and Jenna are the son and daughter of the current President, Rob Unnerstall Jr. and grandchildren of preceding Founder, Bob Unnerstall Sr. Their uncle, John Unnerstall is the current Vice President of National Cart Co.
National Cart Co. first started as a service company performing on site steam cleaning and repair of shopping carts. Bob Unnerstall Sr. explains, “I saw a need there, and started the company.” His wife, Dodie Unnerstall, took on the task of customer service and book keeping. Today the company has grown and prospered into manufacturing and distribution, with two locations in St. Charles, MO and Reno, NV exceeding 350,000 sq. ft. with over 150 full-time associates. Their customer base ranges from single unit retailers to Fortune 100 companies.
Nick Unnerstall graduated from the University of Central Missouri, May 2010 with his Bachelor’s degree. Nick was first hired in 2010 as a Shipping and Receiving Manager at National Cart’s St. Charles location. Nick was promoted to Sales Regional Account Manager, October of 2011, reporting directly to John Tigges, VP of Sales. Prior to being hired full time, Nick spent 9 years of his summers working in most departments of the factory, which accelerated his product knowledge and understanding. In this new role he will be responsible for maintaining and expanding our customer base for the Midwest territory. Within the region he will focus on account retention, growing current accounts, and developing new accounts.
Jenna Unnerstall graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia, May 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. In this new role, Jenna will direct and oversee all the marketing functions of the company. She will be responsible for developing and managing marketing programs that help strengthen NCC’s market presence and reach current marketing goals and objectives. These efforts include but are not limited to utilizing email marketing, print media, social media, Trade Show events, and redesigning/updating the current website and catalog.
